Blown glass lamp
Upcycling a local craftsmanship
In the design of this decorative lamp,
two traditional and ancient industries of Iran have been utilized.

Artisanal industries have been an integral part of Iranian culture and civilization for centuries (dating back to 1200 BCE). Blown glass workshops were the sites where glass-making processes and the development of this industry took place. Today, this industry is also popular in the city of Rey, Tehran. Additionally, the metalworking industry is one of Iran's ancient industries, with the city of Isfahan being renowned for the production of various copper tools.
The presence of human errors in the process of blowing glass to create the bulb in this lamp is part of the final result and enhances its beauty
by evoking the value of handcrafted objects.
